Theatre Technology- Lighting

So this week we look at the lighting.

Types of lantern-

Profile, Fresnel, LED, Strobe (these are in drama)

Pebble convex, Parcan (not in drama- google them so you have the info)

other jargon:

Dimmer pack, lighting desk, fader, safety chain, G clamp.


terms:

focus, spill, wash, general cover, intensity, bright, dim.


You also did some fine dusting and learnt that wrapping a wire around metal makes a huge magnet!
