How to record an interview on paper
Record an interview with someone (keep them anonymous) on your phone and type up up the transcript, leaving in everything (pauses, ums and errs) about half a page of the dialogue (around 300 words)- use guide below for help.
Questions-
1. What gives you job satisfaction?
2. Do you get paid what you deserve to be paid?
3. What are the annoying things about your job?
4. What do you think about your boss?
5. Do immigrants take jobs from ‘English’ people?
Needs to be ready for period 1 tomorrow…
Use punctuation to indicate speech patterns. For example:
Ellipses (…) = pauses
Dash (--) = breaks in mid-sentence
Slashes (/) = overlapping conversations
Commas (,) = short breath
Semicolon (;) Full stop(.) = long breath
