other jargon:
Dimmer pack, lighting desk, fader, safety chain, G clamp. terms: focus, spill, wash, general cover, intensity, bright, dim. You also did some fine dusting and learnt that wrapping a wire around metal makes a huge magnet! If you want to, as Rosie would say, 'become a massive nerd' you can learn more here- http://www.nationaltheatre.org.uk/backstage/lighting So... In a week where for 5 minutes we celebrated gaining Chris at higher level, we flew too high for that brief minute and the metaphorical sun melted our metaphorical wax wings and we fell to the ground like Icarus... So we dealt with Eagle metaphors instead- (like the ones in these performances.) Anyway, here are some Berkoff clips. His practice is useful for your Directors Notebook or solo performance. The videos are to help you reflect in your log, and again in Chris' case, actually watch it in the first place. If you are clever and go to youtube, you can watch the A Level group too. The play was called Decadence, in case you forgot. and remember there is an amazing Berkoff page for more info (and a Brecht and Stanislaski one, if you want to build on the work with Mitten... Artaud page coming... If I can ever pluck up the courage!)
What we covered so far (info on all these creators and practitioners is on the webpage in the 'practitioners and styles section) - DV8 Laban Frantic Assembly Trestle Masks Neutral masks Here are the mask videos for you to reflect on (Or in Chris' case, watch in the first place!)-
feel free to comment for all to see, its only us on here- No one else will be 'clocking' this...
